Does anyone have any information on these four generations from England.
I find the genealogy websites have several of them interchanged as to dates and wives and am thoroughly confused.
They lived in the 1600's, and lie in my family tree.

I too,am confused by all the entries and trying to decyfer them all.I'm trying to varify any connection with Read and De Rede and /or Rede originating in and around Redysdale/Redesdale,Northumberland,Eng.
What connection to Hutton Hall in Penrith,Eng.
What connection to Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire,Eng.
Thus far,I've varifyied to Thomas Read,b.abt 1595 and d.between 1665-1666,Colchester,Essex,Eng.Married Rachel about 1618.One son Thomas imagrated to the colonies and settled in Sudbury,MA in 1654.

David: My information is substantially different than yours, but enticingly similar...
I descend from one William Read (b. April 8 1587 in Brocket Hall, d. 9 April 1656, Woburn, Mass.
He was the son of Thomas Read IV who was married to one Mary Cornwall. His dad was Thomas Read III, who married Mary Brocket of BrocketHall!
As you can see the immigration dates are different, as is the first name (Bill vs. Tom).
I also have no Rachels. It may be that your Thomas was a brother to my William, as I am finding they often immigrated as a family.
I also find that Read, Reed and deReade are often the same.

What are your connections to this line. Where do you live, I am in Canada?

I would also like to know if my family has any connection to them. I only get as far as James Read from England who came to America in 1853. Don't know how I can get further back than him.
