Surnames: Jacobs, Wilkinson
I am trying to find any information on Elmira (Almira, Mira)Jacobs, born Sweetsburg, Quebec, circa 1878. She married Seneca Page Wilkinson in 1894 in Richford, Vermont, parents Joseph and Mary, according to the papers filed at the Justice of the peace there. I have seen her last name as both Jacob, and Jacobs. She died in 1932 on July 31st and was buried at Iron Hill. The name on the death record is Admira Wilkinson, but this is the right person as she is listed as the wife of S. Page Wilkinson, my great-grandfather.

Does anyone recognize this family??

There is a census record of a family, living in the area in the 1880's, 90's and onward with a "Mira" listed with the right birth date, but mother's name is listed as Emily. Not entirely convinced it's the right family. No trace of a birth record for the names Elmira, Almira, or Mira Jacob or Jacobs.

Seems the Jacobs lived in Richford, Vermont, at least some of the time.

Hello
I am not familiar to this family but I checked my BMD records for this area and I found a George Washington Wilkinson a bachelor of Granby Quebec who married a Florence Diantha Wilson of Dunham Quebec on Dec. 31, 1889 in Dunham Anglican Church. I don't know if he is connected in any way to your Wilkinson family. I don't have any family name of Jacob/Jacobs in my area. Hope this may be of some help

Thank you, Yes George was my great uncle. Thank you for taking the time to do some research on my behalf. These two families are proving very difficult to trace!
