MCGLARRY or MACGLARRY, William b. circa 1889 Port Glasgow or Ayrshire and buried in Albany, New York,USA. He may at some time have been a ship's painter in Port Glasgow. Had one brother (John) b. c. 1873 in County Antrim, Ireland and buried in Port Glasgow. William had five sisters (Jane, Mary Ann, Kate, Helen and ?). Sisters all born in Port Glasgow or Ayrshire. Their father was William MCGLARRY; their mother was Margaret LYNN. William and Margaret were married in St. Patrick's Church, Culfeightrin, Ballyvoy, Co. Antrim, Ireland in May 1873. Margaret is buried in Port Glasgow. The family was Catholic. Would like to find any other relatives and information on ancestors of any of the above and information indicating when and why they moved between Scotland and Ireland so often. Am interested in birth/death dates and places of burial and would like to converse with anyone knowing this surname.
