Surnames: Baldony

My great-great-great-greatgrandfather Dominique Baldony "dit Coco" married my g-g-g-g-grandmother Elisabeth Rabalais at St. Francis Church in New Roads, on August 10, 1784. If anyone has any information about him when he was in Pointe Coupee Parish I would appreciate hearing from them.

Found the marriage and one birth in the Volume 2 of the Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Church Records.

I is my assumption that the Coco's moved to Avoyelles Parish because that is a common name in Avoyelles.

Will look at the clerk of court records for a possible lead.

I just released a book entitled "Long Journey Home: The Ancestry of the Bret, Coco, Drapeau, Goudeau, Gremillon and Tassin Families in France". The Coco section is about 50 pages long and provides 175 years of the ANCESTRY of Dominique Coco in France (the one who eventually married Elizabeth Rabalais). I found his entire family. The book is FULLY documented and pics of the sacramental records are provided. http://www.louisianalineage.com/longjourneyhome.htm FB: https://www.facebook.com/LongJourneyHome THANKS! Cathy
