My Great Grandfather's name was Vincent. He lived in Bristol, PA. He came over here from Italy. He had several sons and 1 daughter. What was your father's name?

According to my grandmother, Mary D'Ambrosio Vastano, her father, Peter D'Ambrosio, had a brother Vincent who they called Uncle Joe. As a young man, he went back to Italy to marry Mary Arlanda. They came back to America when she was 17 and he was 27. He was a barber and they had four children:
-Joseph
-Mary
-Josephine
-Cora

My dads name was Vincent John, (after his father) but he went by John. He never knew his father. As far as he knew, he was an only child. His father left when he was a baby.

I can tell you about a Vincent D'Ambrosio of Chicago who was my great-uncle. I didn't think he had any children. He was born in 1899, died in 1927. I hope he was not the Vincent you are looking for, as he was rather infamous -- a gangster who was part of the gang that challenged Al Capone. I have lots of bio on him if he is the one you are looking for. He was my grandfather's brother.

My D'ambrosio's were from South Philly. My Dad was the youngest of 9 children His name was Albert D'Ambrosio. I know there was an Aunt Josephine, Aunt Mary, Uncle Joe,
Uncle Nick. Could these be your relations also. His Father's (my Grandfather)name I believe was Peitro, I am sure his Mothers name was Louise. I have looked for so long for some info on my Dad's side, I hope you can help.
Thank you,
Louise

my great uncle was Noah D'Ambrosio married Augusta Zethner in 1906 in Brooklyn NY. I found one place on the net that said that his father was Vincent D'Ambrosio. Noah was in the 1910 census as a house painter, I think they were in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, does this ring a bell with any one? , I am trying to find other members of his family.
