I have much info on my own Gardners that
first settled around Albany, NY in 1810.
Their names were Winslow Rebecca Chase
Gardner. I believe one of their sons was
Rodney Gardner who lived and died in
Pittstown, Rens. Co.,NY. Another son was
Samuel Perry Gardner who was my great, great
grandfather. Another son was Nathan Gardner.
I know that they had more children but do not
know their names. I was very shocked to see your query with the name of Rodney Gardner
, not common in the Gardner families. Would like to see if
we could possibly connect. Shirley

I have quite a bit of info on Samuel Gardner, wife Charlotte, sons John, Richard, Samuel, and Jeremiah, daughters Elizabeth Cooper, Charlotte Weeden, and Margaret Hoag. I'm trying to make a connection of John Gardner, one of the sons - Is this the same John that moved from NY with a wife Elizabeth Mitchell to Switzerland County, Indiana around 1820?

My great-grandfather was named Perry Oglesby
Gardner. I am not sure where he was born but I
think it was Va. He was living in Mason County,
WV when my grandfather was born. Could there
be a connection with Samuel Perry Gardner?

My grandmother was Jessie Claire Gardner of
Chatham, NY. Her brother was Edward N. Gardner
also of Chatham. I believe that their father
was in the wholesale produce business. Jessie
married DeWitt Hayden Daley and they relocated
to Elmira, NY in the early 1900's. One of their
relatives lived in Scranton, PA and operated a
contracting business, I believe it was plumbing.
I am also looking for information on the family.

I'm looking for the PARENTS of a Samuel Gardner. Samuel was born in Orange County, NJ (I believe) on Feb. 22, 1850. He married Harriet Harvey and lived on the east coast. They had two daughters Carolyn and Yettah - and they resided in PA.
