Is there a reliable source for Andrew Lee's date of death being 1850? Also for the 1830 date and 1840 date given for his moves into Harlan County and Claiborne County?
I'm a descendant of Andrew Lee through his daughter Margaret that married Larkin Webb. Would appreciate any help at all from other Lee cousin's. I have just started on this line and I don't have a whole lot but will share what I have. I know they were in Harlan Co., but have also showed up on census records in TN and Bell Co.
i AM A DECENDENT OF Andrew Lee, and would like to meet more KUZZINGS,
i WILL SEND WHAT i HAVE IF YOU LIKE...
Mary, Andrew is in 1820 HarlanCo.census, in 1821 and 1823 he had land patented near present day Bell Co. -HarlanCo. line, he is also in 1830 HarlanCo.census, in 1831 he is mentioned in the HarlanCo. courtorders,
in 1840 ,and 1850 he is in ClaiborneCo.Tn. census.
I have heard from another Lee/Daniel researcher that he found Peggy and Andrew's farm in Claiborne Co. which contains a LeeCem, where grandson Henry is buried. This is on Grissom Island Rd., ClaiborneCo. Tn. I just wanted to share this, even if I cant confirm it.
I am the Lee researcher referred to above. I spent many
times in Ky looking for Andrew Lee. Then Birdie Hughes of
Tazewell, Tenn a 20 year time researcher reminded me that he was not in her opinion buried in Ky...but in Claiborne County, Tenn as he lived on the Clinch River during the 1840
and 1850 census if I recall correctly. I went to about 10
cemeteries with Lees buried in them until I went to this Lee Cemetery. I recorded them and compared them to the original source: Paul Johnson's Cemeteries of Claiborne County.

I agree we do not know for sure if Andrew Lee/Peggy Daniels are buried here....but it is on the Clinch River as
the census says and there was a Lee Ferry Crossing over the
river. I heard the reason for coming to Claiborne County was 1. The shootings of (Bud)Taylor 2. Wanted to be near
his son Henry or grandson for their care of them in their
old age. There are several stones ..one especially large one near Pearse..I feel may be his. The sharing of information between researchers has resulted in findings that one would not have thought possible. On 6/4/2000 during a decoration conversation...I found where David Lee/Nancy Taylor were buried in unmarked graves. They are now marked by the family (Riley Taylor..Brownies Creek, Ky). I feel researchers will eventually find Andrews other sons....David Lee and Stephen Lee,Jr/Joicy Napier..by sharing information as it is now ongoing. It is lots of fun and hard work. Anyone wanting to go to this cemetery must
call for permission. However, there is no problem getting
that permission. I have redone this twice and apologize for the way it looks. I can e-mail the cemetery upon request
if you are interested.
Lehman, Andrew and Peggy are my gggggrandparents. I have heard they were buried somewhere a long the Clinch. I came to Tazewell a few years ago to look for them but had no luck. I would appreaciate having directions to the cemetery you are talking about and how to get permission. I believe we ended up in a Rosenthal ?? cemetery on the side of a hill. Haven't had time in the last couple of years to continue looking.

I am trying to determine if Andrew Lee's father was Hancock Lee III. Do you have any information as to who Andrew Lee's father was?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
With kindest regards,
