Buck Moss 4 ( it states daughter...)

1910 Hicksford,Greenville Va
this is where I scratch my head
Ben 26 head
Sallie 23
Elva 3
Ben 75 butler

now there is no finding of where there is a ben junior...There is of course the daughter of Ben and Emeline named Sallie, hence this sallie with her 4 yr old daughter...a shot in the dark she married a man by the same two names of her father?

It gets more interesting on Emeline's part... or puzzling

Emeline lists herself as well as her children as mulatto....
Found where in 1880 where the children are stepchildren to Ben... and with the younger children, the names change.
Looking at th 1880 census, Patty is Patty M. Lundy. 20 who is a stepdaughter
then there are Lucy Epps and three more following under the Epps name.

Following the preceeding census the name LUNDY keeps popping up. Especially Dr. Ethelrod Ludy of Greensville.
Look back at the 1880 census for 20 yr old mulatto Patty M. Lundy...
then looking into the 1860 Greensville Va census for
Dr.Ethelrod Lundy 37yrs...and his family,
there is little pattie B. Lundy age 3 months
also in this census, are the good Dr's family....
Rebecca 26, Sallie E 5, Willima T 2 and of course Pattie B 3 months.

I am not finding where Ethelrod owned slaves, yet the records keep going back to finding Emeline lining up with the Lundy line as well as finding one strange record for Emeline.
For the time period, this census makes me quizical.
Nov 1865 throuh Dec 1866 there is one
IRS Assment Lists....
finding one emeline Henrietta Potts of Wicksford,Greenville Va listed as a butcher...for 4 months.

Perhaps I am missing the forest for the trees, but Emeline Potts who is mulatto... keeps linking up with Greensville, and with the LUNDY lineage. Perhaps I am putting more there than is offered... perhaps I am missing it all the way around. As for now, this is what I am finding.

I came up with all of the same information. I need to find information on Ethelrod Lundy and J.W.Potts slaveholders.

I belive that:Ben 26 head
Ben 26
Sallie 23
Elva 3
Ben 75 butler; this is our Ben Sr living with the son and his family.

I am presuming that Emeline is dead.

Willing to help... since we both found the same info. exactly what are you hoping to find with Lundy and Potts?
I am assuming these slaveholders fathered children of the women slaves.
Finding Benjamin Epps throughtout the census, and finding Ben sr. with son Ben jr...and his family, I need a pinpoint of your search.

Okay.
1. How were Emeline and Henrietta related? Sisters or Mother/daughter.
2. Emeline had several children by Lundy. Can we prove this?
Is Ethelrod the right Lundy? I think there was another possiblity. Judging by the order of the names in the 1850 or 1860 census, these plantations were in relatively close proximity to one another.
3. Can we get any more information on Ben Sr. DOD or something? I am looking for more information on him.
