Hello
Anyone interested there was a News Paper Article in the SUNDAY STAR LEDGER February 12, 1967 re:

"The grave of John Dennis who died in 1837 leans against a tree in Middletown, where the Dennis Family once had a farm." (and Colonial Brick Works not mentioned also a Land Grant from King Charles the Second YE Plantation w/1000 acres also not mentioned?)

Well the tree has grown up since then and can be seen at "Pikes Cemetery" off Harmony Road in Middletown. You may need a helicopter to see it; as there are homes around the cemetery now. Thats right. A New Jersey Colonial Family Cemetery with no Public access. Nice!
Enjoy

Surnames: Dennis, Hoff, Henry
I found an entry on Find A Grave.com for John Hoff 1847-1920 Husband of Emma Dennia, son of Thomas B. Hoff and Johanna Truax, at the Old Truax Burying Ground in Keansburg.

also Emma Dennis Hoff
Age 55 years
Daughter of Kate Henry Dennis of Eatontown, New Jersey
Wife of John W. Hoff in the same cemetery, but no grave marker found.

My grandmother was a Dennis from Eatontown NJ, but I do not have a Kate Henry Denis in my records. Very common surname though.

Hope this helps you! Regards. \
