My Grandmother was Arbana Trump before she married Henry Rosner. I know that at one time there was an area of Uniontown known as Trump Addition. I'm looking for any one who might know any of my grandmothers siblings or her parents names.

Francis H. Trump married Henry Detwiler, Justice of the Peace of Connellsville, Pa., sometime after 1834. His first wife had died leaving him with an infant daughter, Eliza Leander. He died in 1851 and according to his obituary left her with five little children. Joseph Trump was the executor of the estate in 1856 and executed two land transactions for the benefit of Eliza Leander, Ester Ann Joseph and Mary Detwiler. Does this fit in with your Trump family? I am especially interested in the names of the other children and any information that you may have on the children.

Sorry, I don't recall this line and I'd have to get to my sister's computer to check my entries for that name. In the meantime, I'll try to check my card file will print out your message to take home. Thanks - any Trump from Connellsville should be related. Wilbert (b. ca. 1870, son of Harmon Peter Trump) is my connection to the Connellsville area. Are you aware of Trump Hollow and Trump Run as well as if there any Trump family cemeteries in that area? No-one seems to know that I've talked to so far.

I, too, am related to the Trumps of C'ville. Is your Harmon the son of Samuel and Hanna? If so, then I am connected through Samuel's brother George,(b.1813 PA m. Elizabeth Wilson). There were at least two other brothers, William and Henry. All offsring of John(b.1775 PA,m.Elizabeth?b.1785 PA). I have list for Trump cemetery if anyone is interested as well as some Trump Genealogy.I believe the family descended from Henry Trump from Germany. He settled in Springfield Twp. near Indian Creek abt 1780.

Dear Gloria,
Very glad to get your message. I've been unable to visit Connellsville and I've been trying to obtain info on the area - have a few publications on the area, but was unable to find burial listings in the main cems. Thought there was a family plot in "Trump Hollow" but again no info. Please email me about the Trump cemetery and what kind of genealogy you have on them. I tracked back mainly through census records, but mom told me someone had a Trump gen book printed in the 50's or so, but grandpa's copy was "lost". My e-dress is: phildzielski@usa.net Be glad to hear from you! I have info to share about John Trump's wife Elizabeth and her family origins. Thanks again! Phil

Is this the same Harmon, enlisted with the Eighty-fifth regiment Pennsylvania volunteer infantry who, at about the age of 18, disappeared at White Oak Swamp during the "Seven Day's Battle" near Richmond, VA? I am curious about this because I investigated his story. I came across it while trying to locate information on my ggmother Edna Trump (01-15-1886 to 01-25-1914), who was from the Connellsville area. I'm looking for any info on Edna, esp. parents, siblings, etc. From what I've been able to discover, she committed suicide (gunshot to the head). Her husband was Smith A. Dawson (12-01-1883 to Jan 15, 1936) s/o Smith Dawson 7th PA Cav. (~1836 to ?1911+), and all from and lived in the same area, Connellsville, New Haven and Dunbar Township.
