Seeking information concerning Benjamin Kilbourn. He was in Jamestown, Grant Co. by 1828. He married several times. Were there two or four wives, who were they, and when did he marry? When did he die?, Where is he buried?

thanks for the help. It goes with what I had found in the Kilbourn Family by P. K. Kilbourn and in a family member's journal.
Do need to get a copy of the marriage license for Benjamin and Lydia Dewey.
Thank you

Benjamin Kilbourn married Lydia Dewey in Illinois in 1852.
Three sons: John, James, Edward, were born to Benjamin's earlier wife, who was Pluma Phelps. She died in 1852 in Jamestown after giving birth to twins. They died also.
When and where were Pluma and Benjamin married?
Benjamin was born about 1802/1804 in Kentucky, grew up in Ross County Ohio. So he was about 50 when he married Lydia.
Was there even a wife earlier than Pluma Phelps?

ideas?

The 1850 census is the man I am looking for,
but the marriage in 1846 I am not sure of. He married Lydia Dewey in 1852, supposedly his wife died earlier that year. He had three boys at home to care for, and Lydia was a relative of the deceased wife...that is in the family journal.
Unless, there was confusion and there were three wives. Which is also possible. That means the wife of 1846 died after only 6 years of marriage. But if this is accurate, then the wife of 1846 is the mother of Edward J. Kilbourn.

This may be the Pluma Phelps I found in the family journal.
I have three sons from that book: John, James b 1848, Edward b 1850.

This may the correct mother for Edward.

thank you
