Looking for the obit for Harry E. Borah, SSI says he died Dec 1968 and the Wisconsin death index says 1 Jan 1969 in Lancaster. He was my great grandfather's brother. Thanks Terry

Terry, send an email to the SW Wisconsin Room at UW Platteville. Request the obit from them. There will be a small charge (my last one was $3.00), they'll bill you when they send the obit (if they find it). Make sure you help them out and tell them where he was living when he died so that they can check the most logical newspaper.

But before you do, can I assume you've checked with the Grant County Genealogical Society for his burial records (which would hopefully give you his death date) and/or Findagrave? In case you didn't, I just looked at Findagrave and he's not listed in Grant County. In fact, the most recent Borah burial in the county is from 1939. Of course, these listings do not normally include unmarked graves.

Thanks Robin, I am mainley interested in where Harry is buried. His parents are buried in the Mt.Ida Cemetery. I put Harry on find a grave but his burial is under unkown Cmt. I linked him to Samuel Lee Borah, who is my great-great grandfather. Terry

I wonder why he didn't come up in my search? Do "unknown cemetery" entries not show up in a county search?

I dont know why it doesnt work that way, just put the name in with no state selected. His father was Samuel Lee Borah, whi buried at Mt. Ida. You can pick him up and then link over to Harry. Thanks Terry
