Surnames: Waterson
Robert Waterson is always referred to as from Silver Hill yet his death certificate says Moybane. Are they the same place?

Thanks

They are separate townlands. Silverhill is in the parish of Devenish. Moybane is in Cleenish parish. The two townlands are probably 2 or 3 miles apart.

Thank you very much. Is there a good map that shows the various townlands?

You can use Griffiths Valuation to locate them. Click on the place name option, and type in the relevant name. There’s a map option, with a slider bar in the top rh corner which allows you to overlay a modern map on the 1850s map.

Enniskillen Library should also have paper copies of the 1850s maps that Griffiths used.
