I am searching for information about the families of Greene Elison Beauchamp, Baldwin Beauchamp, Andrew Thomas and Daniel Thomas. Andrew Thomas and Daniel Thomas married sisters of Greene E. Beauchamp. It is believed that the Beauchamp brothers and the Thomas brothers moved to the Clinton, Mississippi area from the Clinton, Lousiana area.
Any help would be appreciated.

Surnames: Thomas Beauchamp
Andrew Hampton Thomas & Daniel Thomas and their Beauchamp wives lived in Hinds County Miss and were big slave owners. You can look on the censuses for 1830-40-50-1860 & 1870 to find them. Daniel died in 1853, before the war, but Andrew lived till 1877....Probably lost their property etc.
Andrew was living in Raymond, Miss with wife Nancy and other family members in 1870. Andrew & Daniel were sons of Samuel Thomas & Rachel Hampton. We are from Samuel's brother James' line.

Thank you for your reply. I come from Andrew's line, his daughter Mary Jane Thomas Criddle. I lived in her house up until a year ago. I live in Clinton, MS, not far from Andrew and Daniel's old property. I grew up on the "Criddle farm" down the road. Not sure of the actual dispersion of Daniel's property, but Andrew's was all left by will. Most of his surviving children were girls. I don't know much, actually - hardly anything - about Samuel's family. Would love to share the information I have. At least two Thomas family houses still stand, my father and uncles sold Mary Jane's just this past spring.
