Hi Julia
It's Claudette from Oregon. I just wanted to say HI. I haven't been in touch in a long time. How goes the search? We still haven't found out the name of James Bigby's father, there are a lot of speculations such as as Samuel, Archie, another James so who knows. I'm sure we will find out some day.

Ever considered Thomas Bigby? He is on the same rolls..
Claudette. Where in Oregon are you? Maybe we could meet sometime. I have family in Mt. Vernon; Bend; Vancouver, Kalama. If you are near Ptld, we could meet at the Genealogical Library in Ptld sometime?

Wellll, you're a ways! The length of the state of Oregon (where, by the way, I was born). We go to Myrtle Creek where all the family are buried from time to time, but won't be now till probably next summer. Medfords a ways from there, but isn't it weird. My niece was just there last weekend with her husband and son for the Babe Ruth baseball tournament.
They came in third. Still pretty darn good for regionals. I also have a friend in medford. In her 80's. Her deceased husband was a friend of my biological father of Bigby descent from the old days. However, next summer my husband will be retired, and we will be much freer. We hope to go on some road trips then. Where there's a will, there's a way.. I have met some of the neatest cousins through genealogy. I'm sure you won't be an exception. It will be fun to compare notes. We are about 45 minutes from Portland, Oregon, International Airport. Could always meet anyone passing through with a layover!
Thanks much.

Hi Marqie (Margie?). My Bigby line is from Catherine Foreman and James Bigby; Mary Ann Bigby and David Miller Taylor; Mary Elizabeth Taylor and Stephen Whitaker; Mary Catherine Whitaker and John Eli Ingram; Cornelia Christine Ingram and Bark Foreman Cleveland; Mason Foreman Cleveland and Claudia May Fleming. My grandparents Bark and Cornelia each descended from children of John Anthony Foreman and Susie Rattlinggourd/"Gourd" sometimes referred to as Susie Bark ( don't have documentation on the latter). I've connected with several cyber cousins on my lines, how about you? Whats your line? Thanks for the response..

Hi Carolyn: My Bigby line is from Catherine Foreman and James Bigby; Mary Ann Bigby and David Miller Taylor; David Taylor and Laura Elizabeth Welch; Mary (Molly) Taylor and Bert Brown; Lillie Mae Brown (Taylor) and Don Smith; Floyd Smith and Minnie Patterson; Margie Smith and Harold Farrar.
Mary (Mollie) Taylor died young so Lillie Mae Brown was reared by her grandparents, the Taylors, and she used the name Taylor more that she did Brown. I'm somewhat confused about the Foreman family. Is it James Anthony Foreman or John Anthony Foreman, married Susie Gourd?
Thanks for the reply.

Hi Margie: It was John Anthony Foreman who was married to Susie. Not a James. John had two full blooded wives, each of which bore him six children. My grandmother descended from Catherine Foreman and James Bigby, and my grandfather descended from her brother Richard Bark Foreman, so I am double related to John and Susie. Looks like we're the same line as far down as Mary Ann Bigby and David Taylor.
