I'm looking for family [especially descendants] of John Martin DIEBOLD, b 1857 Canton, Stark, Ohio, who married 5 Aug 1884 in New Hamburg, Scott, Missouri to Mary M GREEN.

John died 28 Jan 1941 in South Haven, Van Buren, Michigan. Did he have children?

His wife is sister to my great-grandmother, Barbara M (GREEN) STREBIG, who lived and died in Fort Wayne.

I show this John M DIEBOLD as son of John Martin DIEBOLD, b 1832 in Canton OH, died 1863 in St Louis MO, and Katarina KOHN. no further information on either.

Mike, in reviewing my gggrandfather and mother's Wills , I came across a Catarina Diebold , John M. Diebold and a George Diedbold , monies were owed to John and George. My grandfather lived in Plain Twps , Canton , Ohio until his death in 1883 , his wife Elizabeth passed away in 1887. The Koehn family had a Daughter named Catharina , but I don't know if she married a Diebold

Most of what I know about this line is what is posted [no sources] at
http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jrp235...
I would like to explore the connection; there are several Johns, Georges and Cat[h]arin[a/e]s in this line. Who are your grandparents you mention?

If this Katharina [sp?] 1836 GER - 1872 MO is a potential fit in your family line, I'd like to learn more about the sources and information on this family.

I was reading old posts on rootsweb and saw that you were looking for descendants of John Martin Diebold. I don't know if you found all you were looking for, but my father is John Martin Diebold, son of William Jacob Diebold, grandson of John Martin Diebold, great-grandson of John Martin Diebold. If you need any more information you can contact me lindasmatthews@comcast.net or my father johnmd@i2k.com.

We are also looking for information on William Jacob Diebolds first marriage to Mary Burrall and their 2 daughters Edna b. abt. 1914 and Ether Estelle (Stella) b. abt. 1917. Can anyone tell us anything at all on this?
