Looking for my dads biological father. My gma wasn't married to his dad. I don't think my gma told this man she was pregnant. When my dad was 2 she remarried. She simply started using this mans name of Kalas as my dads thou he was never legally adopted. I believe he was Lithuanian. Please if you know of anyone who can help me???

You will get more responses if you provide additional details such as names, dates of birth, locations, etc...

Right now, we can't tell when the birth occurred of an unnamed male child in some country in the world.

Here is the information we know. My dad was born 1-24-1937 in Chicago Illinois to Elizabeth Stolinski. She was divorced and had 2 young boys from her first marriage named Raymond and Robert. When my dad was 2 years old she married George Kalas. He never adopted my dad. When my dad started school my grandma "altered" his birth certificate and listed his last name as Kalas. My dad has gone thru his life with the Kalas name. The name on his birth certificate lists John Guices as his father. I'm sure my g'ma spelled it wrong because she was a terrible speller. When my dad was born my g'ma and his father had already gone their separate ways and we believe it's very likely that his dad never knew my g'ma was pregnant. As my dad grew up he was forbidden to speak of his illegitimacy and my g'ma refused to tell him very little about his dad. She did say he was killed in WW2. We believe this to be true because when my dad was an adult she did show him a picture of him in some paper that was showing photos of soldiers killed in the war. She also said his last name rhymed with duchess. I hope this additional information is helpful! Thanks, Debbie
