Ancestry app only shows one child for parents

Ancestry app only shows one child for parents

In the Ancestry app, I have entered two children for a particular parents. However, in the Tree view, I only see one of the children. This happens to be at the leftmost (youngest) generation of the tree.

How can I get the tree to show all children for particular parents?

Using Motorola Xoom, Android 4.1.2

If the children are above the selected person in the tree then only the child that is a direct ancestor of the selected individual is shown in "pedigree view" mode. Click the tic-tac-toe board icon in the upper left to set "family view" mode and all the children will be shown.

The children I'm referring to are below the selected parents in the tree.

I do not see a "tic-tac-toe board icon" anywhere in the app. Nor do I see a "family view" option in settings or anywhere else in the app. This is Ancestry app for Android on Motorola Xoom.

Sorry that didn't help. Sounds like the iPad and Android versions may be more different than I expected.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

In my Android phone app.....it shows the 2 parents on the right, to the left will be 1 child and his or her spouse....right below that in small letters it says "show family" click on that to see the other children. This only shows up in portrait view, not landscape.
Hope that helps.....not sure if that's what you wanted.

Unfortunately the Android version of the App only has the pedigree (single child) view, unlike the iOS version which has both pedigree and family views (like the website, though not FTM). Yes you can use "show family", but it's nowhere near as convenient as the scroll-around family view that iOS has. Though I'm not an apple user, I have to say the apple app is far nicer to use. As I'm on android, it's one of the main reasons I also use the website as well as the app (and FTM).
The android version was even less capable in the past (it didn't have shaky-leaf hints, for example), so I suppose there's hope that they'll improve it soon and introduce a family view, especially as I believe android users outnumber iOS users (though maybe not in terms of the Ancestry app?).
If we all send feedback asking for a family view for the android app, maybe it will happen sooner!
