James Jefferson Brock... Sultana survivor?

I'm looking to verify an ancestor of mine was on board the Sultana. Someone claims he was, but I can't find any books to verify that he was.

He was James Jefferson Brock, a union solider from Sevier Tn.

If anyone has any books on the Sultana, could someone see if he's listed anywhere?

Thank you for telling me, but yes I'd already been informed.

No e-mails are blocked... they just sit in a folder until I can decided if it's spam or not. :)

I didn't however, get an e-mail from you. My e-mail server must have just dropped you directly into the "known spam" folder. Odd.

Hello: I have left a message with the Sultana Message Board but I was not certain that you would see it. Therefore, I have decided to contact you through this means. I am the author of the book "Disaster on the Mississippi" and over the past 25 years have compiled hundreds of accounts of Sultana survivors and information on Sultana victims. As for James Jefferson Brock, I have a 10 page account of his entitled, "The Civil War Experiences of James J. Brock," written by Samuel D. Brock, a relative. If you would like, I could copy this for you and send it to you.

I also have a letter from a Catherine Harper of Portland, OR who is a descendant of James J. Brock. As such, she would also be a relative of yours. I can give you her information also.
