Am looking for info on Sabrina Gillett who was married to John Flavel Kingsley. John Flavel died in Fowler, Trumbull Co., in 1856. His and Sabrina's daughter, Julia, married there in 1827 to Hugh Rhodes. I have no info on Sabrina other than her name. She and John Flavel married in 1804 in MA. Does anyone know anything about her or her family? Thanks,
Patty

I found this in the History of Trumbull and Mahoning Counties - 1892: "John Kingsley, only son of John F. and Sabrina (Gilbert) Kingsley, was born in Massachusetts, March 13, 1811. John F. Kingsley was one of the pioneers of Trumbull county, settling upon the place now owned by his son, in the spring of 1813...." Is it possible Sabrina's maiden name was actually Gilbert instead of Gillett?

Patty, do you happen to have Amos Gillet in your database? Amos b. Dec. 27, 1807 in Avon, Hartford, CT. Married Eleanor Miller. Their son, Martin Gillet b. Aug. 14, 1853 in West Farmington, OH.

Was Sabrina Gillett of Turnbull Co really Sabrina Gilbert? Don't think so. My source says Gillett and the LDS new site has Sabrina as Gillett and a Gillett ancestry for her. I don't know the source for that info, though. Will keep your
suggestion in mind, in case I can't confirm Gillett. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, Gail, I don't show any Amoses. Might check I don't know if his Gillett's go into the 1800s, but he might have something.

Sue, was just wondering if Martin Gillett had any brothers or sisters born in Trumbull Co., or elsewhere.

Martin had 5 siblings, they were Lucius E., Harace S., Hattie E., Elbert A., and Mary Amelia. I do not know if they were born in Trumbull co., or not.

According to a copy of Cemetery Records I have of Trumbull Co., West Farmington, Vol. 1, p. 154; Mary Amelia was born in 1849 and died in 1869. Lucius was born 1836, d.1906. Is that what you have?
