This may be a silly question, but I'm wondering if someone can tell me what the numbers/codes are that I'm finding in some of my searches. Here's an example:

Henry Wykes LZRQ-N45

Any help would be appreciated.

I've seen other names with the odd letter/numbers/codes similar to this, and I have no idea what they mean.

I understand what it is you see, but you have not said where you have seen the numbers. On documents? On a web site?

YES! That's exactly what I was referring to :) Thanks for clearing it up...I figured it was a personal numbering system but wasn't at all sure :)

Those are Ancestral File individual ID numbers. There are many Henry Wykes in AF, but none with that number, so perhaps you provided a "fake" example, or someone transposed characters.
