Surnames: hugo, mansuy, simon,
I'm still looking for a connection to the Victor HUGO family, but back a number of generations. Specifically, Jean Hugo b. 22 Jun 1648, married to Catherine Mansuy b. 1659. Married 10 May 1673 in France. They had six children. I don't have all children's names. I'm interested in Joseph Hugo married to Anne Simon 1715 Domvallier, Voges, France. Anyone have info on Joseph Hugo or Anne Simon family??

Hi,
Do youknow if Cathrine had a brother named
Nickolus, do not know exactly how it was spelled. he was suppose to have married a Catherine Lewis or Louys. They had 1 son Emile born 1850 in France. Cathrine divorced
Emile in 1861 in N.O.,La. and married a Jean Prcat. Do not know if they stayed here or went back to France. Thank you if you can give me any help.

I obtained this information a number of years ago at the LDS library. They now have a website at www.familysearch.org. I was looking for records on Victor Hugo's family. The only information I have on Catherine Mansuy is her birthdate is about 1650, Domvallier, Voges, France and her father was Claude Mansuy. I'm sure if you checked the records on the Mansuy, you might find more.

Hi, Could not get through to that web site .
Have tried several times. Our Mansuy, Jean Nicolas Mansuy was from Mezieres,Ardennes, France. He is the father of Emile Guillaume Mansuy born in N.O.,La. om 4-17-1851, not in France like we thought he was. J.F.

Hi. I just tried that website again: FamilySearch.org and got through to it. Maybe you can try search for Family Search Internet Genealogy Service. That was the name that came up for their home page. Otherwise you might want to check at your local LDS library. That's where I first began my search. Good luck!
