My name is Katherine Jarvie, My grandfather James Jarvie married my grandmother Mary Gemmel in Scotland and they came to the US, they must came here around 1930????? I'm not sure.....They had a son (my father) James allister jarvie in 1936? I have to check on that but around that time period... Hope this broadens your search.......

I have Jarvie ancestors. Robert Jarvie married Christina Shaw in Scotland and had three children there, John, James, and Annie before they came to America around 1887. They settled in South Fork, PA and I believe they are buried there.

hi scot if i'm not mistaking the Jarvies that ya talking about did come from scotland in the last 1800's regaurdless of what peolpe tell us.

I only know of one child for them so far and that is my grandmother:
- Elizabeth Jarvie ( She is losing her mind and is the last of her branch so it is hard to get information out of her)....
Nells PArents Charles Carmichael born around 1874 in Scotland Married a Elizabeth Unknown.................
( They had a lot of children from what Iam told but inly know of 1).

Great Grandmother was Myrta MacLagan. Her brother was
Theodore Gerlishe. He had a daughter Helen Gerlishe that
married James Jarvie on August 8, 1964 in CA. I believe
they were your parents. If I am correct please email me
