What relation?

If Abe's 3rd GGF is Barbara's 6th GGF-what is their relationship? Would they be 6th cousins, or perhaps 3rd cousins, 3 times removed?

Thanks.

Richard

thanks-they take a little getting used to, but maybe the third one is the easier one. Looks like 5th cousin, 3 times removed.

Abe's 3rd GGF = Barbara's 6th GGF
Abe's 2nd GGP & Barbara's 5th GGP = siblings
Abe's 1st GGP & Barbara's 4th GGP = 1st cousins
Abe's GP & Barbara's 3rd GGP = 2nd cousins
Abe's parent & Barbara's 2nd GGP = 3rd cousins
Abe & Barbara's 1st GGP = 4th cousins
Abe & Barbara's GP = 4th cousins once removed (4C1R)
Abe & Barbara's parent = 4C2R
Abe & Barbara = 4C3R

What if the "common ancestor" isn't an "ancestor" as such but is an aunt/uncle or cousin?

For example, My great grand aunt Mary is "Bob"'s 2nd Cousin 3x removed

What is my relationship to "Bob"?

Is there a calculator out there to work those relationship's out?
