Think your dates are a bit adrift. Freebmd has marriage of a Charles Walter BLACKWELL registered Woolwich in 1906 and on same page is bride Alice JAMES.

Woolwich births Nellie Alice Blackwell 1907 Robert Wm 1909 and Charles G mother's maiden name JAMES 1911 (mmn only added to index mid 1911)

Birth of Charles Walter registered Mile End March quarter 1883 volume 1c page 597. This could be him with widowed father Charles who works at the Royal arsenal, living with his brother Robert and family in 1891

Surnames: Blackwell & Blacknall...

Hi!
Wow! well thankyou very much for info....however at this
moment I'm quite confused. Were you deliberatly misspelling
blackNALL? Or was that how it was recorded? It would
certainly be odd if it was. The dates do seem appropriate
for my grandfather Charles Walter Blackwell also my mother
and uncles too.
The BLACKNALLs are new and at this point a mystery but
again many kudos for your info. I will continue to try
and find the answers. Cheers!

BLACKNALL is how some of the surnames have been transcribed on the typed record page ( I just copied and pasted it)....the original page is clearly BLACKWELL and Charles age 40 is brother of Robert.
