Joseph Petitpren & Mary Schultz would have been my great grandparents. Their daughter Agnes Petitpren Schaldenbrand was my grandmother.

The children of Joseph Petitpren & Mary Schultz were:
Irene Petitpren Stalh
Edna Petitpren Barr
Agnes Petitpren Schaldenbrand (twin)
Marion Petitpren Folske (twin)
Alice Petitpren Keller
Edgar Petitpren (wife Catherine Fochia or Foucher?)
Father Roy Petitpren
Andrew Petitpren (wife Edith ?)

Agnes Petitpren married Roy Schaldenbrand and had one child named Eugene Schaldenbrand

Eugene Schaldenbrand married Anita Hart and had 5 children:
Wayne Schaldenbrand
Cynthia Schaldenbrand Walker
Ann Schaldenbrand Plegue
Jospeh Schaldenbrand
John Schaldenbrand

The Schaldenbrand family reside in the St. Clair County and Macomb County area.

I'm sure if I spent some time, I could come up with more information on the Petitpren's!

I'm certain this is the right Joseph Petitpren's line I've been looking for. I'm trying to establish my husband's family lines for our children and theirs to come. I know that Fr. Roy Petitpren is a cousin, so think perhaps his father, Joseph, is the sibling of Ignatius (Enos) Petitpren, whose parents were Henri Petitprin and Catherine Charrett. I'd like to go at least one generation back of Henri and Catherine, as to where, and when born, and their parents. Perhaps you have that information. My husband is Harold Meldrum, and he was born in Anchorville. His father was Raymond Meldrum, and his mother was Mary Catherine Petitpren, daughter of Enos Petitpren and Mary Beauvais.

Yes Rosalie, this is the correct family. Fr. Roy was the third child of Joseph & Mary. The first child of Joseph & Mary was Andrew and my mother Virginia is the first child of Andrew and Edith PETIPREN.

I saw your post about the name Petipren. My maiden name is Petipren. My father was Robert Petipren, from Dearborn Michigan. His parents were Lloyd and Bertha Petipren. Lloyd was born 5/23/1903 but I have not been able to identify his parents. If we are related I would love to be able to identify anyone connected.
