DOES ANYONE HAVE INFORMATION ON RICE'S MILL JUST NORTH OF LAKE WEDOWEE MARINA ON 431 ABOUT 4 MILES NORTH OF WEDOWEE?

JUST AFTER THE ROAD TO SWAGG (WHICH IS ON THE LEFT). THEN TAKE THE NEXT ROAD TO THE RIGHT (IT IS PAVED FOR SEVERAL FEET AND THEN TURNS INTO A DIRT ROAD. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE CREEK. YOU CAN STILL SEE THE ROCK FORMATION THAT FORMED THE GRIST MILL.

Current Randolph map is not too clear but other maps
from the Alabama Historical Map Archives show Rice
mill to be on Pineywood creek.

I noticed that you may have access to an historical map of Randolph County. If so, could you please help me find where Mushy Sand could have been located? (in the mid- to late 1880's) Thanks.

Mushy Sands is not listed in Historical Atlas of Alabama,
Randolph county. I have viewed a lot of historical Alabama
maps but no luck so far. Maybe I will find something in
the furure as I look for this place and others.
