I am looking for my relatives on the Lauren side. Jacob Lauren is my great grandfather and was married to Grete Johanna Doura. He was born in 1861 in Finland. I am looking for his parents and siblings and grand parents etc.. I have looked on the Hiski site to no avail. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Jacob lived in Jacobsville and in Gay, Michigan. He is buried in Calumet Twp Lakeview Cemetery with his wife Grete. Thank you, Julie Pirkola Harris

For some reason Grete's last name is written as Toyra and Doura. I have seen it both ways but from what I know it is supposed to be Doura.

I wonder if this is him. Jacob may have been born in Sweden and not in Finland and maybe that's why I can't find anything on the Hiski site. What site did you find this information? Thanks, Julie Harris---I am using my mom's ancestry account under the name Mary Pirkola

Toyra is the correct spelling.When the English translated Finnish names they did not know how to correctly spell them.
