Hi,

Look at the genealogy for Angus Macdonell, the Bard, on the Glengarry County Genweb. This will give you some information on Angus of Sandaig and his ancestry. Margaret Cameron of Long Sault is also a descendant of Angus, and I can connect you if you like. Jean de Belestre is an interesting character in the history of Montreal, esp St Jean Baptiste day. Confirm death date for Pickel. Thanks.

According to my research, you're GGGrandfather was the first mayor of my little town, St-Anicet (near Huntingdon, Qc). I too would like more info on his ancestry and social/financial status.
