I'm surprised to see so many of you have responded. But I'm happy to see that we are all interested in finding each other. I live in Richmond, Virginia. My grandfather's name is Walter Lawrence Flournoy (from Chesterfield, VA), and my grandmother's name is Beatrice Gray Flournoy (Gray is her maiden name). My grandfather had three brothers, Arthur, Edwin, and Frank, and two sisters, Maybel, and Lizzie (all are deceased.) My father's name is Lawrence M. Flournoy, Sr. Now that you know just as much as I do about my father's side, please contact me, and lets talk. I'm sure I have a lot of cousins I haven't met yet.
p.s. Uncle Snookey I haven't forgotten you (he lives in Rockville, MD.)

Hi Steve,
I am a GGG decendant of Mary Lou Ellen Flournoy (Not certain yet of EXACT spellings and dates but very close) who was born in Roanoke, (Alabama??) in 1840 and lived most of her life and died in Lagrange, Georgia in 1945.
She was married to John E. Whitley b. 1843 d. 1937. Founder/Self-made millionaire of Whitley Concrete in Georgia.
Does any of this ring a bell and, if so, maybe we are related? Please let me know!
LS Ford Jr.

Mary Louise Flournoy and James Wilson Bell are my great great grandparents. I'd be interested in comparing notes. I have lots on both lines, but am always looking for more information.
