I have a John MABEE b. about 1781 married to Polly CHUBB b. about 1788. Children were James b. 1810/John b. 1812/Benjamin b. 1815/Christina b. 1819/Polly b. 1824/Marcus b. 1827. They were from Royalton, New York mostly. The daughter Polly is my direct ancestor. I have a bible her mother gave to her in 1848. She married Silas COLLAR b. 20 Dec 1818. If these are the same people, I would love to have any information on them. Also a copy of any bible entries. I have more information on Polly Mabee, if you're interested.

Marcus,
I may have contacted you a number of years ago as I was investigating Benjamin Mabee in Lenawee County, Michigan. I was wandering if you know anything about a Loren Ayers? Benjamin C. Mabee and his family were living in with mr Ayers household as is listed in the 1860 census of Fairfield Twp., Lenawee Co., Michjigan. Benjamin's (age 44, born in NY) family consisted of his wife Sarah (42, born in England) and their children Alphanes (21, born in NY), John (9, b. Mich), and Frank (2, b. Mich). There is also a Evaline Herrick (18 b. Ohio) in the Ayers household.
In the 1870 Census Benjamin and his family have moved to Springfield Twp., Richland Co., Ohio. Although Benj is listed as 65 (should be in 50s) for all other family members their ages are consistent with the previous census. There is an addition to the family listed between the ages of the two younger boys, and it is my 2nd great-grandmother, Ida (Bartley), who was born 1n 1855 in Lenawee County, Michigan. I would love to get copies of the Bible records for Benjamin, his siblings and parents if I could, and discuss the family further with you. I think I have finally had a breakthrough in finding info on Ida's biological parents. I look forward to hearing from you.
