Samuel McKee and Alice craft of PA., who was born in 1874, had a child in 1894 in Elmira, N.Y., named Pansey Ursula McKee. On Pansey's birth record, Samuel McKee is listed as having been born in N.Y. Later, on Pansey's marriage license, her father is listed as having been born in Ireland. Nothing is known about Samuel in my family. My great-grandmother, Alice, went by her maiden name all of her life, only had the one child, and would not talk about Samuel. I would like to know where Samuel came from.

I'm looking for ancestors of David McKee, born abt 1831 in Penn. I do not know his parents or even the county. I know that he married Sarah Delavergne in 1853 in Boone Co., Illinois. They had 3 children that I know of all born in Illinois: Alice (b. abt 1854), William Edward (b. 23 apr 1856) and Henry (b.abt 1855). My ancestor, William Edward (Ed) MCKEE married Ida May WOODWORTH and they had 11 children including Guy Edward, my ancestor. If anyone has information on this family, please post a response or email me at: rhapuzl@msn.com Thanks!

Lynn, Have just started tracing my ancestry. I have a great-great grangfather by the name of Samuel who may have been from Wisconsin or Illinois and would have possibly been born about the time of the Samuel you mentioned. He had a son named Charles (plus others). Please contact me at lcsr@alltel.net if you think your info would help - I HOPE!!! Thanks a bunch. Rita

Your information on the Hugh/Davis/Samuel McKee names is likely to be my husband's family. Their descendents are still living in Cass Co., Michigan. Please let us correspond as I am sure we connect! Thanks Susan

We have been surching for information on the family of our great-great grandmother, Mary McKee Fackender. We believe that she could be related to this family. Mary mcKee was born August 25, 1802 in the Kiskacoquillas Valley, Mifflin County, PA near Lewistown. It is believed that her family moved to Clarion County, PA between 1820 and 1822. Records in Clarion County show that Hugh McKee purchased 53 acres from Mary McKee Fackender for $200 May 16,1840. Records also show that Hugh McKee incurred debts which by reason of sundry misfortunes, he was unable to pay. October 26, 1844, $1 was paid by Davis McKee to Hugh McKee, for which he recieved the goods and chattels, debts, and effects, and generally all and singular, estate real and personal of Hugh McKee. Davis McKee was empowered to sell any and all to pay creditors of Hugh McKee. We believe that our Mary is somehow related to this Hugh, possibly through one of his brothers. I would appreciate any information you can provide on this family.
Thank you,
Pat Kraft
