There was a Dr. Henry Phifer who had a clnic in Binger Ok but the siblings do not fit his family.
He had the following siblings: Artis, Wanda, Gladys, Violet and Gus. With the similar names & etc, there is a possibility of some connection. Do you have the next generation back? Thanks

Henry was born 1919 and was killed at his summer home in Tishomingo, Johnston County, OK. Gussie is the youngest member of the family and was in service. Is here any possibility te family reunion you attended was in Tishomingo in 1977 or 1978? Do you have any idea what nationality the family is that you are looking for? The father of Gus and Henry (George Phifer) was killed on Christmas Eve when Gus was a baby. The names of these children are Artis, Henry, Wanda, Gladys, Violet and Gussie. Let me know if this sounds right.

I sent the message before I intended to, I was trying to correct typing mistakes. The family has Cherokee Indian blood on the Huddleston/Buchanan side and German blood on the Phifer side so everyone is fairly dark. Most of the family are rather tall, the men and women both.
Also, Henry's Medical Clinic was in Binger, OK. I will write more as I gather the info. Jeannean

We visited Wanda in Ada Ok. and went to a family reunion while we were there. My mother was with me. She is Henry's cousin, Louise Cash Collins. We met Henry, Wanda and Gussie. We have not heard from Wanda in a long time. Is she still living. My mother is 88 years old. She has had several strokes and cannot talk or swallow or walk, I keep her here with me, she has been living with me for 5 years. I would love to hear from some of the family. Mama's sister, Gladys Carr lives in Florida. They are the only two left. We are planning to have a Cash Reunion in July, we would be glad to have you come if you would like. It will be on July 21 and 22 of this year here in Milledgeville, Ga. What kin are you to the Phifers. My grandmother was a Phifer. Her name was Mary Florence Phifer. Her father was born on the boat coming from Germany. His name was Benjamine. Let me hear from you soon.

Thank you for answering my messages. My telephone number is 478-452-9114.,

Betty, I just learned your family was further back than I first thought. George Burse "Bert" PHIFER was married to my maternal grandmother's baby sister, Earvie Ann Buckhanon PHIFER. Mary Florence PHIFER must have been a sister to Uncle Bert who was killed at his landlord's home on Christmas Eve in 1921. Wanda died in Feb of 1996. Violet is still living, she lives with her daughter in Seminole. Gus lives in the Veteran's Center in Ardmore, OK. Gus was retired from the Navy which was called WAVES at that time. I talked to Nakeeta, the oldest daughter of Violet. She wants to hear from you and has gone to, Norma's, her sister's house to tell her. I talk to Nakeeta every day, her number is (580) 371-2538. My number is (580) 782-3618. Was Mary Florence Phifer a sister to George Burse Phifer? Where did Benjamine arrive in the United States? Where did he live in America? What was his date of birth and place of birth? Do you have any pictures of the family. My email is jeanneans@webtv.net and I would like to correspond with you. Nakeeta is finally getting the genealogy bug and so is Norma's daughter, Tammy.Let me hear from you soon. Jeannean

this is Betty Sanders again.I am sorry I
have not answered you earlier but I work all the time. I work two jobs and sometimes three jobs. Mama is doing ok. She is still having to be tube feed and has to have total care. I am looking forward to all of you coming down to see us in July. When we were out in Ok. I remember a little red headed girl about 9 or 10 years old that my son Darrell thought was cute. Do you by any chance know what her name was. she was a pretty little thing. As soon as Tim can get the geneology he is suppose to send it to you. I have still not had a chance to look for pictures. I will try to do that this weekend. I am sorry I am so slow but with mama and my jobs I really don't have time to do much else. I know how it is when you want something real bad and can't get it, but I promise I will look this weekend. We love all of you and please let me hear from you soon. Don't be like me and be slow about it.
