Dates are helpful whenever available. I have a Wiley A. Wooddell that married a Barbara Tabitha Weaver (1839 Tuscaloosa co, AL). Considering brothers married sisters and so on fairly often, a date can help make the necessary connection

You might try http://www.gencircles.com/

While my records show 16 children for my Weaver/Wooddell siblings, this shows 19. It listed 20 some Weaver families. You may have some luck searching. I failed to turn up any Susan Weaver other than Susannah b. 1768 Dutch Fork Lexington SC, d.abt 1830 Tuscaloosa Co. AL.. This is obviously too early.

Then again these are large families, and somewhere they do cross paths more than once. Sorry I couldn't provide better info. I will keep my eyes peeled.

William,

I keep coming back to this, thinking how often brothers married sisters (no not each other's) in the past. Several times in our lineage, it was like siblings from one family married siblings from neighboring families.

Since I haven't "motivated" my wife who is more knowledgeable on the "correct" way of posting genealogical info to do the Weavers yet, I did discover the "canned" website feature in the Ancestry Family Tree Software, and used it to post my Weaver Ancestry, and how it ties into my Wooddell "direct line".

This is however created from my own Family Tree Generations Program, and some of the data is not yet verified. This is why the Weaver part of our surname pages has not yet been uploaded. Anyway, in the hope that it might help you make the link that might tie our Wooddells somewhere in the 1800's or before, I have created and uploaded it to our site at:

http://home.earthlink.net/~j18raider/family/weaver/1/weag01....

The wife may go ballistic and make me "remove" it later, since it is inconsistent with her other surname pages.

I hope you find someone "of interest" to you.

David Wooddell, Sr.
