What is the time frame you are looking at.

I have gotten info from state of mi. about lewis, in paperwork he was admitted in 1884 at age 8 and his last name was mattox he was indentured untill around 1890 along with 1 brother fred, his other brothers were older.

i am not sure i keep getting conflicking info , some info says says some family members state that some members went to canada, some state the name is mattix ,mattox,my grndf went by mattice. the onfo i have is stephen was born around 1840 in ohio

There is a Stephen B. Mattice mentioned several times in a Barkerville Newspaper dated 1872 (Cariboo Semtinel)

yes please send me the link. i dont know if its the stephen i am looking for because i have not been able to verify his death for a certain year. i know he lived in mi. and wis. there was talk he lived in canada. 1898 is a likely death time. thanks

stephen mattox and mary rogers were married in mi. he later moved to wis. and maybe canada b. abt 1840 in ohio dont know when he died i am just checking on any info
