My great grandmother, Lassie Jane Wyatt, of
Brittwell(?), Meigs County,TN, married William Alexander Esmond,
of Georgetown, James County TN, Oct.31,1891 at Birchwood,
TN. Married by John Gass, Baptist minister.
They moved to Texas. Could she be part of your family? I
don't have much info on the Wyatts. More on
Esmonds. She had a brother named Fount. Her
dad operated a ferry and did boat repair according
to her son.

I am searching for information on David Asa Wyatt b.1871-d.1910. David married Martha Ann Smith. I know that they lived in Tn. for
a while, I do not know if David was born in Tn. or who his parents or siblings were. I do know the names of his six sons. If you have any information on David in your line, please let me know. Thank you.

Lassie Jane Wyatt is my great-great-grandmother.
She was born November 11, 1872, in Charleston, Tenn.
She married William A. Esmond on October 31, 1891.
She died in September, 1963, in Anson, Texas.
She was buried in Evergreen Cemetary in Ballinger.

I have always heard that she had 13 children, but have only gotten 11 names:
In order of birth: Lillian, Early, Graden, Glen, Harve, Inez, Rose, Wyleen (also called Sue), Vivian, and June.
There was another boy named Waymon who died young, but I do not know where he came in the birth order.
The oldest daughter, Lillian, died shortly after giving birth to her only child, Lillian Myra Rippy.
The Esmonds raised this child, but even in you count her among the children, that only makes 12.

I don't have any information on this branch of my family, past "Mama and Papa Esmond", but would be glad to recieve anything you have.

If you would like a copy of Lassie Jane Wyatt's Obituary, e-mail me at lillianannsmith@yahoo.com, and I will send it to you.
I also have stories that my grandmother (Lillian Myra Rippy) told about the Esmonds. I can send those if you would like to read them.

Thank you for your help,

Lillian Smith

I was glad to hear from you. I do have quite a lot of info I will share. It may be a couple of days, however. I have a brand new granddaughter and am busy.

I am glad to find someone with information. I will be out of pocket myself, for a while. My sister is expecting twins any day now, and I am going to try to help her.
If I don't get back to you right away, just imagine me changing diapers!

I hope your nieces? nephews? have arrived safely.
It seems that are so many twins these days.
We don't have any in our immediate family, but
do have quite a few in our extended family.
I hope you have some information on the Wyatt
family. Most of what I have is on the Esmond
side. I am the granddaughter of Herbert Earl
Esmond, next younger brother of Lillian Esmond
Rippy. I have some pictures and information
about the Esmonds. I will be happy to share
what I have with you. I have family Bible
records from Lassie Jane and William Alexander.
You may have all this, too.
I am 55 years old and live in Lamesa, Tx. I knew
both LJ and WA as a child. We used to visit them
in Anson. I remember her quite well. Let me know
what you have and send me an address, and I
will send you some things. Are you a Texan?
Good luck with the babies.
