Searching for information on my great grandfather, Hans Morgan Christensen, b. 12 Oct 1864 Denmark, d. 11 Sep 1935 Adams Co., Wisconsin. Resided in Columbia Co., Wisconsin from 1914 to 1935. WHY? He originally settled in Scott Co., Iowa. All of his daugters remained in Iowa, but Hans and his sons all went to Columbia Co., Wisconsin in 1914. Did Hans have family there?
Hans married Caroline Christine Petersen in 1892 Denmark. Immigrated around 1893. May have lived in Bekke, Denmark.
Hans and Caroline's sons who went to Columbia county with their parents include:
1. Waldemar Jens "Walter" (1894-1968) m. Margaret O'Connell
2. Karl "Todd" (1903-?) m. Lucille "Celie"
3. Jens "Yice" (1903-?) m. Pherne
Any information on Hans Morgan Christensen and/or his sons would be appreciated.

I am the great granddaughter of Hans Mogens Christensen. I am the granddaughter of Lillie Thora, she, the daughter of Hans & Caroline (Petersen), and the sister of Yice.
I've been able to track the Christensen/Petersen family well into the 1700s in Denmark. Will happily exchange information with you.
How do you connect to the family?

Hi there! We just started tracing the family tree. My husband (dale hyatt) was Yice's cousin through marriage. Pherne was my father-in-laws cousin. Her father Glenn was brother to (Mr) Fay V Hyatt. His only son Russell D Hyatt was best friends with Goldwyn (Goldie) Christensen, son of Yice & Pherne.
Goldie married Ray Jane____ & they had two daughters Cheryl & Vickie
Would enjoy adding your info to my new quest.
Regards,
Jettie Hyatt

Hi Jettie -
Since there is no biological relationship between the Hyatts and my Christensens, I'm not sure what info you'd like. I do show Pherne's father as Maxie E. Hyatt, not Glenn Hyatt. Yice was born in Iowa, most likely in Buffalo Twp., Scott County. He was one of triplets - Carl Richard & Esther Ruby were the other two.
