[Thanks to Doc Lee for some of the census info above.]

Linda, I would love to share PEAVY/PEEVY information. I know a few other people who are researching Peavys too.
I believe some of my PEAVY notes are posted on this site (posted some today too), but I have a file of notes I could send you. I believe I saw a post on GenForum by you in which you believed the father of Asa M. Peavy to be Charles Peavy and his mother to be Rebecca Matthews. I'd love any documentation of this if you have some. Also, my big question is "Is Abraham Peavy (b. 1765) possibly the father of Charles (b. 1788?) and/or Isaac by a first wife?"

Are these the same ones who were later in Butler Co.

Abm. Pevey and Ch. Pevey are on a list of voters for Justices and Constable in Capt. Jolly's district in Butler Co., Ala. on 6/17/1820 (not sure of source of this note I took)
[Why not Isaac?)

Peavy, Isaac 7/20/1836 19 7 14
-----------------
Abraham, Charles, Isaac, Hiram, Asa M., Wm. J., and Daniel Peavy were very likely all related. I'd like to know how, and I'd like to know if/where my gg-gm Rachel PEAVY BROOKS, born 1811 in Georgia fits in.

Additions or corrections are welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't have any proff that Charles Peavy and Rebecca Matthews are the parents of Asa M. I have little time to research because of a time-consuming job and haven't done as much on my husband's family (Peavy and Penn) as I have done on my own. I worked on this line some time ago and can't recall why I decided to guess in favor of Charles. Did you notice the 1880 Census that shows Asa is 66, Epsey is 60 and then lists two children under 2? What do you think is happening here? Are you interested in the descendants of A.M. who moved on to Texas eventually? I have the line through William Arrington on down to our grandchildren. Will be glad to share. Have some photos and news articles about some relatives. lp
