How would you key someone who is listed in the "Wounded" column in a battle on 10 Sep 1837 but died from wounds the next day? Also, "2C Lieut" is not an option in the dropdown list - just "Lieut".

Re: U S Returns of Killed and Wounded in Battles
Enter the individual as "killed" and key any death information from the record.
There are a few ranks that are not in the dropdown list - key the rank as seen on the record and use F7 (PC) or Command+7 (Mac) to "accept" the entry.

Also it's not a c, it's a d.
as in 2d Lieut. (second lieutenant), there are also third lieutenants here.
You can tell when you spot a Richd.

Thanks Paul; I never would have figured that one out even though it makes perfect sense. Could I bother you with a few more? Are the first two:
Bat 2d Lt? Passd Midshipman?

Also, both of the images have different battle locations in Florida, but in some cases, it states, "Kenahapa Prairie, East Florida" or "Mosquito Inlet, E Florida" Do I key as seen or drop the East or E from Florida?
