Hoping to make contact with someone familiar with Hawthorne (Douglas County)WI. Grandmother Ina VanKirk married Karl Hedwig Abrahamzon. Karl's father worked in the sawmill in Hawthorne and Karl (when grown) was postmaster in Hawthorne. They married in 1913 (a double wedding with Ebba and Bill Convey at the Luthern parsonage of Rev. Ekblad(possibly in Superior) Both Karl and Ina are buried in the cemetery in Hawthorne along with Karl's parents. I am from Indiana and unable to travel at present to WI.

Sheila,
Ancestry.com has an image of Henry Erick ABRAHAMZON's(this is how he signed his name) draft registration card. He lived at Rt 2, South Range, WI. He describes himself as tall, slender, with blue eyes and black hair. On that card, he states that he was born in Morris, MN (16-Jun-1891), and claims to be a natural born citizen. Are you sure of his birthplace?

No I am not sure of this birth, I had not verified the information myself. I had got it from an Abrahamzon. It looks like my information was incorrect. Thanks for your help!
Sheila
