I am looking for the parents of Percival Mary Gero, born about 1842 in Vermont. She married John Baptiste Vigeant about 1859 near Winooski Falls, Chittenden Co., VT. They had 10 children together; William, Lina, Matilda, Lilian, Cora, Joseph, Charles, Raymond, Paula and Unknown. This family was found in the 1880 census in Berkshire Co., MA. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure if their is any relation but my great great grandmothers name was Julia Gero she married a Joseph Crickx. They lived in Richford Vermont. I have heard stories she may have been Indian? But I can't seem to verify that. Julia was born in Williston, Vermont in 1870 according to some records however she was born in 1868.

I have a Percival Mary Gero who married John Baptiste Vigeant. I just found this family in the 1900 Berkshire Co., MA census. Percival's mother was living with the family. Her mother's name was Julia Gero. She was born in Canada in 1819. Julia Gero was the mother of 7 children, but the only one I have any info on in Percival. I do not know Julia's husbands name or Julia's maiden name. Percival Gero was born in Vermont and married in Chittenden Co., VT. This is all the information I have on this family at this time.

Dear Shelli, The Julia Gero that I am talking about was born in 1868 or 1870 in Williston, Vermont the date is questionable. She was my Great Grandmother. She married Joseph Crickx (from Belgium originally)and they lived in Richford, Vermont. They both died there and are buried in All Saints Cemetary. They had four children. Bessie, Frank,Carmere, and my grandmother Hazel. I have called my Dad to see if there may be a family connection but he is not in at this time. I will look into this and see what else I can come up with. In the mean time I hope you have a great day! Karen

Dear Shelli,

My great great grandmother's name was Julia Counter. She married Joseph Gero from Milton Falls, Chittenden, Vermont. Her date of birth is questionable, but I have 1829...could it really be 1819 and could that also really have been in Canada not Vermont where her husband lived? You mentioned that Percival Gero was married in Chittenden, Vermont.
