My gr-gr-gr-grandfather was WILLIAM BAGLIN born in England about 1818. His son, DANIEL BAGLIN was also born in England about 1841, according to US census records. Daniel Baglin married Tabitha Rouse in Ross County, Ohio, USA on 4 Oct 1870. Their daughter, Catherine Harriet Baglin married my gr-grandfather David A. Stauffer on 25 Feb 1894.

I believe that William and Daniel Baglin and some others of his family first settled in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co, Ohio before moving to Ross County. Daniel is the only Baglin I can find in Ross County. He and Tabitha are buried in the Andersonville Cemetery, Ross County, Ohio. Any info on these Baglins would be much appreciated. In return, I can supply gravestone pictures to family members. Thank you.

Hello

I am related to William BAGLIN by his brother Charles Cole BAGLIN who was my Great Great Grandfather. His son James, a bare knuckle fighter in his younger days, my Great Grandfather eventually moved from Gloucestershire to the East End of London. Where my Grandmother Minnie Elizabeth BAGLIN was born along with her many brothers and sisters.

If you would like more information on these BAGLINS please let me know.

Thank you for your reply!!

I have found a lot of info since I first posted here in 2003. However, I welcome all replies, additions, corrections, or questions.

I would like to know if you are able to share any documents on this family? I have attached a photo of the gravestones of Wm. Baglin (1818-1875) and his wife Harriett Dickerson Baglin (1821-1902). I have much more to share.

Hello

Having done more research into the Baglin family it now appears that the William Baglin in my Tree and the William Baglin in yours are not the same person.

I apologise for the mistake

Hi Jodi,
It was great to read your post.
I'm James Tainton from Brisbane Australia.
Richard and Sarah Tainton are my Great Great Grand Parents.
I would love to find out as much as possible about them. If you come across any photos that would be fantastic.
In particular I have been trying to find out any information about Richard's father. All I know is that his name was also Richard (from a copy of Richard and Sarah's marriage certificate that I have). I also know that Richard was born at Bristol before moving to Horsley.
Cheers,
James
