Looking for information on my paternal grandmother Henrietta Laing Matheson born 23.12.1865 Catto Square, Aberdeen, Scotland. Her father was William Matheson (Journeyman) Mother Catherine Matheson nee Drysdale Married 28.10.1850

I do not know whether this information would be helpful but I am sure there is some connection between the two requests. The information I do have is family pictures...

Upon the parting of my mother and the subsequent handling of the estate, I have come upon a large volume of photos from my grandmother dating back as far as 1850(?), mostly from the Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Dundeen Scotland area. She, her self, Jessie, was born in 1887. After searching the web and other documents I still know little or nothing of this part of the family and have been unable to connect names to the picture. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.

You may not be able to find her as it looks like the one I have is Jessie Alice Matheson and her DOB is 8 May 1867 Dingwall Ross and Cromarty.
Died Pahiatuha Wairarapa NZ BMD deaths 1935/16175.
It may be the link I am also looking for.

William and Katherine Matheson nee Drysdale my Gt Gt Grandparents.

My grandmother was Jesse Matheson from the Aberdeen/Glasgow area. By my rough calculation she would have been born 135 years ago plus or minus so 1867 sounds about right. (She died when I was between 7 and 9)

I have the "family bible" as well as many pictures, a beautiful album saved from a fire, from a lighthouse, in 1920s, on the Cape St James Island, at the southern tip of the Queen Charlotte's, west coast, British Columbia, Canada.

Unfortunately, we are just finishing a book (crunch-time) and we will be in Europe, Portugal (mostly the Azores), in December. After Christmas we can send more information as it is here but not easily found. Email at creativesystemsdesign @ shaw.ca at any time.
