Jean, Thanks for the Klump info. I can understand about too many Klumps---G-Uncle said there is a valley in Germany where everybody named Klump!
I hadn't seen it spelled with double "p" before, my Grandfather (William F.) had said there was another William F., a lawyer in Saginaw, MI, who had a 2nd one added because tired of misdirected mail.
Some G-Great Uncles changed the spelling to KLOMP.
Never heard of "Lena", but maybe not from my branch. Thanks and good luck on your search, take care, Sandy

Ron, Thanks for the info., but sorry, I don't believe any in my branch even though some of the names are similar, but I have found no mention of Moesbach, Baden, Germany or Kentucky. Since I posted message, found Johann KLUMP and wife Elizabeth SHULTZ immigrated on the ship "Elena" docking in N.Y., along with their 5 sons, May 23, 1870, and probably traveled via Canada to Detroit, MI.
take care, Sandy

I have some information on William Fredrick Klump's and Coral Emily Decker's Lineage. They had eight children. I currently only have limited information on seven of them, however the one that is mentioned in this post - Leroy Eugene Klump - is my grandfather. If you would like more information on this section of the family please feel free to send me a message.

While I don't see a connection yet, if we dig a bit, we may find one. I am descended from Klumpps and Birks from Moesbach. I also have a Kirn in my tree, although I am not descended from anyone of this name that I know of.

I am descended from Elisabeth Birk (1805-1701) of Moesbach. Her parents were Maria Anna Klumpp (b. 1779) and Johannes Birk (b. 1774) of Moesbach.

I'd like to exchange information with you. Please drop me an email. I found much information on Family History Center microfilm rolls 995082 and 995083 for Moesbach after about 1811 and 996198-996200 for Ulm before 1811 since Ulm was the church for Moesbach before 1811.

I've found more information about Joseph Klumpp and Gertrude Kirn.

They were married in Mösbach on April 20, 1818. Gertrude's father was Andreas Kirn. Joseph Klumpp was born about 1791 (according to age at death) and died on June 15, 1825. His grandmother, Salomea Gutenkunst, is my fifth-great-grandmother. Her first husband, Mauritius Sutterer was my fifth-great-grandfather. Her second husband, Jacobi Klumpp was Joseph Klumpp's grandfather.

Joseph's parents were Ignatius Klumpp (b. July 27, 1745 in Mösbach) and Barbara Muller. Barbara's father was George Muller. Ignatius. Ignatius' parents were Jacobi Klumpp and Salomea Gutenkunst. Jacobi's father was Joannes Klumpp. Salomea's parents were Jacob Gutenkunst and Christina Krafsig. I have Jacob's and Christina's parents and grandfathers also. You can see them in my RootsWeb family tree database "mattmiller".
