Surnames: Martin, Cannon
I have a John Martin living in Horry County on the 1850 census. He was born in 1780,before the formation of Horry County (1802) He would have been considered living in Georgetown County at this time.
Who were his children? I am told that two were Isaac M C Martin born 1820 and Edith Martin born 1818.
Did he have a daughter named Mary Ann Martin born about 1827 who married a John N. Cannon?
Also, another son named Armstrong S H Martin born 1825?
If you have any information on these Martins please let me know.
Thanks,
HFM

I meet some one today, Briefly. He is a descendants of John & France Martin. He told me there where 7 children: Isaac Mc, Daniel A, Charlotte M Jordan, James Robert, Mathew Isaac, George Washington & Jefferson Davis...
Jefferson had 5 children. T. & Manning Davis. T. Martin was his grandfather. I think Manning was my wife's G-grandfather?? Some of these Descendants are buried at Juniper Bay Baptist Church. This all I have at this time.

Sure love to hear from you.

1850 Census records show John and his wife living with their son Matthew R. Martin. I'm pretty sure this is the same John Martin referenced in this thread. Matthew R. Martin is my 3rd Great Grandfather.

Sounds as though Matthew R. and Armstrong SH Martin were brothers. Have you discovered who John and Frances Martin's Mother's and Father's were? I am also related to the Causey, Gasque, Mishoe, Hardee, Bellamy, Long, Rabon, Gause, etc... families. Please feel free to contact me at glendabullocklocke@yahoo.com. Hopefully, we can exchange information.
