I am trying to trace the family of Thomas and Martha Gaskell and their children Hilda, Leonard, Marion and Bernard who emigrated from Wigan,Lancashire for work at Mountain Park Alberta in 1923. I believe Thomas and Martha died in Vancouver.I would like to find out more about their life in Canada. My father in law is Thomas' nephew and would love to catch up with the family

The Master Index of the AGS cemetery burials list some 15 GASKELL names, but none that fit your query.

Look for BC Archives

Dear Sir or Madam;
My Grandfather was Thomas Gaskell who indeed lived for a time in Mountain Park. My father was Bernard Gaskell. Grandma Gaskell died in Victoria, B.C. add Grandpa died at Cobble Hill, B.C.. They are both buried there. I would like to find out more of any family in England. Please reply to audreygaskell12@gmail.com. It has been a very nice surprise to make contact with family in England.
Yours truly,
Audrey Gaskell

Frank and Agnes (called Nan) Gaskell lived here south of Youngstown, Alberta for years. Nan died in Sept. 26, 1999 at Hanna, and Frank the 24 of March, 1998, They are both buried in the Hanna, Alberta cemetery. There is unfortunately no write-up of them in the Youngstown Memories Across the Years history book. I do not believe they had any children. I could find an obituary for you if you need it. http://www.ourroots.ca/toc.aspx?id=13232&qryID=14d81...

Thank you very much for your reply. I have looked up the references to Gaskell in the link you provided. Unfortunately, I cannot find any reference to Frank and Agnes in my tree. Thomas Gaskell emigrated in 1923 with his wife Martha. They both died on Victoria Island, Vancouver. Their children whom I am trying to link to are:
Leonard 1911-2000
Marion 1917-2004
Bernard 1922-2008
