I am trying to trace an ancestor by name George Beavon. Born in Birmingham England about 1894 mother's name on birth certificate was Clara Beavon, no father's name shown. Almost certainly sent to Canada under the British Home Children Program somewhere between 1900 and 1910. Later returned to Birmingham about 1918. Surname on different listings varies, Beavon was correct but can appear as Bevons or Bevin. Any information would be much appreciated.

Have just posted an enquiry on the message board, looking for a George Beavon and his mother Clara Beavon. Perhaps this might link in with your ancestors since the above both came from Birmingham England ?.
