Mr. Bulone:

My maternal grandfather was from Licata. His name was Gaetano Giglio. He immigrated to upstate New York. I found this message board for your family. It says your family is from Licata. I wondered if you might have any information about families from Licata. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Bernie Rice

Mr. Bulone,

Thank you for responding to my post. I just received an e-mail from an Anthony Bulone who lives in France. He said that he is a teenager whose grandmother left Licata for France. Her name was Carmela Bulone. His e-mail address is vava_591@hotmail.com. You might want to correspond with him.

I was wondering if there are any Giglios left in Licata. I heard many left, including some for France. My niece, who just visited Sicily from New York, said she didn't notice the name "Giglio" in Licata but did notice my grandmother's maiden name in her hometown (Ragusa).

I don't check the message boards much anymore. If you'd like to reach me, please write to my e-mail address.

Thank you,
Bernie Rice
