My fathers name was Henry Hubert Dayment. His father was John Elliot Dayment who married Margaret Murphy. Other children were Orion and Leland. They lived in Botenau, Canada, worked grain elevators in North Dakota and moved west during the dust bowl ending up in Index Washington. I am trying to find native american roots. I belive my grandfather was part Cherokee. Any info. about Dayments would be wonderful.

My father's name is Donald Leland Dayment. He is the son of Leland. He moved from N. Dakota as a small child and grew up in Index and Skykomish Washington. My grandfather (Leland) worked for the Great Northern Railroad.

My father also had a sister, Linda, who currently lives in St. Albans, Vermont. My father married Beverly Broten of Darrington, Washington and they had four kids (3 girls, 1 boy - Dixie, Krystal, Eric, Cydney). We moved to Alaska in 1972. Currently, my dad is still there (selling the house). The rest of us are all married and living in Seattle, WA with the exception of my sister Cydney, who is still single and lives in Wasilla, AK.

Please write back! I've been trying to figure out my family's history for some time without luck.

Eric

Sorry to disappoint on the Native American front but I have my own little Dayment family here in England, Devon which is our origin (as far as I'm aware).

Would be lovely to get in contact, who knows where it will go :)
