i was thrilled to find your inquiry. my grandfather was frank archibald dick b.1867,brookfield, mo. his father was archibald dick and according to family lore migrated from va through ind. and was related to dr. elijah cullen dick who was one of the physicians attending at geo. washingtons death and delivered the masonic lodge eulogy at his funeral. dr. dick was very much featured in c-spans recent broadcast of the 200th anniv. of washington's funeral. i am just starting to research this but i think i can find a. dick's date and place of birth in the limited records i recently inherited.

i am originally from brookfield. mo. my mother's maiden name was margaret m. dick, my grandfather frank e. dick. the info i have conerning robert is that he may have been my gf's uncle and a brother to john harvey dick. john harvey dick b nov 23 or 25, 1846, fayette co., ohio. d nov 7, 1935 near marceline, linn co., mo. (near brookfield).
notes which i inherited indicate robert dick married mary collier. one daughter living (note: this info was compiled at least 1980 or before) (?margeret) dick bryon of carnegie, oklahoma. mar collier died. robert dick remarried to annie (?morie) at st. catherine, mo. (near brookfield). two children: gertrude dick gillman and (?marion} dick of pico, calif. robert dick died october 26, 1934 at oklahoma city. i have some ancestor charts which could be of help to you including name of the compiler but it is from 1980 and that person may be deceased. i also have a rather poor quality photocopy of a picture of john harvey dick as an elderly man. according to my info he would have lived to 88 yrs. i have other info which may be of some help to you. what is your connection to robert dick? thanks

Craig, Robert H Dick is my greatgrandfather.
This is a branch of the family I know little of. His daughter Juanita is my grandmother.
What records I have is he married a
Lela Williams of Gainsville Texas. Juanita's
birthplace is Sapulpa Ok. I know she had a
brother(Robert) and two sisters. Juanita died
in 1946. I don't know if there is a connection to the other Dicks in Brookfield. My father thought Robert Dick was a barber.
Do you know of a Dick marrying a Jennings women from Louisiana MO?
